A new paper https://eprint.iacr.org/2026/2622 says that square-matrix-multiplication exponents below 9/4 would also reduce the exponent of lattice sieving. If that's correct, can it be generalized to use non-square matrix mult? "Rectangular" matrix mult is faster than square matrix mult.
